I've been afraid of changing
Because I encircled my life around you.
You accused, refused, and abused me
But I continue to let you do
anything you wanted to me.
No matter how much pain it caused
Like a fool I stayed by your side.
Didn't take a moment to pause...
To think if this is love?
Is this really what I'm looking for?
I'm tired of getting my heart broke
I can't take it any more.
I've been afraid of leaving
because I wanted to believe in you.
Well this time I'm taring down the walls,
and I want continuously let you put me through
all this misery, suffering, and pain.
You only loved what I could give
But now your time is over
and it's time for me to live...
my life without you in it.
It's time to think about myself
In the end, you'll be the one suffering
While I'm loving someone else.

Good write, i was abused like that before and it took me forever to get out of it.

While every care is taken to ensure the general sites content is family safe, our moderators cannot be in all places; all the time. Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
