Hush please just give me a chance to speak,
I don't want my head to pop off before i reach my peak.
Can't you just understand that i'm only human and i make mistakes,
All my blood is rushing to my head so a breath i take.
I clench my fists and try not to let the anger get to me,
But it's a little late it's already effecting me.
I hate to come home to a house of pain,
What am i dragon that needs to be slain.
I can't even take a step in the door,
Without feeling the heat and an angry roar.
Over some little thing that i didn't even do,
And to think that i am getting mad over you.
Well i guess i can't control your mind,
Think what you want that's fine alright.
So next time i'm mad and you don't understand,
Just listen for once and lend me a hand.

Let me see if I can get this just right..'cause it so fits..
"Little owl sat on an oak
the more he heard, the less he spoke.
the less he spoke, the more he heard.
Now wasn't he a wise old bird?"
It so fits your poem.. I heard it in a movie..
John wayne I think..but it was Kathryn Hepburn
who spoke the line.. ;-) |
