Across the Gloomy Bay

Across the gloomy bay,
on the adjacent shore,
a small white cottage lay,
huddled among many more.
The people walk,
with their friends,
among flower stalks,
which hold up high the flower heads.
Across the gloomy bay,
way up in yonder sky,
the golden sun sends its rays,
from a way up high.
But on this gloomy bay,
on our side of the water,
it's a cloudy rainy day,
with plenty of the latter.
Across the gloomy bay,
the town is perfect,
without a nasty day,
across the gloomy bay.
