Cross my heart and hope to fly
Pick the stars from the dark mystic sky
Take these treasures who would dare?
For you I would to show I care.
He treads through the forest,
Silent as a stag
Rarely does he smile grin or laugh.
He readied his bow and little did I know,
My heart he would shoot and brutally pierce.
My eyes were shaky and wet with tears
His were focused, sharp and fierce.
He let go of his arrow,
A chill flew to my marrow,
I fell to the ground of autumn leaves,
I almost felt and knew I was dying,
And I knew I was trembling, sobbing and crying.
I look to my side
And there lay an orc dead.
The axe in his hand was meant for my head
He swiftly ran over,
And gave me his hand,
Then the elf said, “ I am Legolas and I am you friend.”

Great write. I love Tolkien and The Lord of the RIngs. I've read that book a couple times and saw the movies. Our sons middle name is Aragorn.(one of my favorite characters from the book) Looked nice in the movie too. LOL Much peace. |
