Crying in the Dark

Hiding, you cry
With tears of sadness and a broken heart
Each tear falls heavily
Shaking me, Moving me
Filling me with emotion
And my eyes begin to swell
As I cry too
For the pain it causes me
To see you weep so sorrowfully
When no wrong have you done
You’ve only been hurt
The tears try to wash the ache away
But the wound is deep
And little they do to help
So I stand waiting
Weeping in your pain
Hoping that you will come
For comfort and care
So things won’t seem so bad
And you can be happy once more
