Inside I am slowly dying,
Can’t seem to stop myself from crying,
Even in sleep I do not find my rest,
Horrors of the night leave me feeling stressed.
You said you’d rather we were apart,
You drove a steak right into my heart,
Tonight alone I will lie in bed,
Thoughts of you constantly in my head.
Is this really the end of the road?
Has our love gotten stale & old?
Please say it hasn’t & we can make it,
As I feel so weak & tired of feeling like *****.
No amount of tissues can wipe my tears,
No amount of reassurance can curb my fears,
My soul feels black, heart has no rhythm,
Is this your final heartbreaking decision?
We had everything at one point,
Nothing was separate everything was joint,
Now we feel so far away from each other,
Now we feel like enemies instead of lovers.

A rather poignant piece and yet your poetry always speaks to me somehow. Wonderful poem dear. Hope it's not real life and if it is I feel for you even more. (You can always talk to me if you need it)
