You appeared as if from a dream,
revealing yourself in a way strange to my own eyes,
yet with a look, I felt my heart expand
in a way I did not think possible.
The sky seemed to open,
ushering in a new beginning
to my painful existence.
I never thought something like this
would ever happen to me,
never thought that I’d find someone
I could love as much as I love you.
Yet here you are.
When you aren’t here it’s like a piece of myself
has been ripped from my body.
You’re like air to me, essential to my survival,
my reason for being.
You give me strength that I never thought I had,
make me believe that I can do anything.
I’ll love you ‘till the end of my days,
until time itself ceases to exist.
I’m yours forever, love…
