The Amerikan Dream

Contributed by Steeleyes on Wednesday, 11th December 2002 @ 07:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

'Hey, let me SELL you
The Amerikan Dream
That's right son
It's a get rich scheme

You get workin'
And I get rich!

And it's not too hard
to tell which from which

I have a gleaming penthouse
You have a two-room ditch

Okay you poor little Prole
Ain't this better than the Dole?

Then get workin' like a slave
And take what I give
Or you'll be out like a rocket
And right out of pocket

There are plenty of poor
knockin' on MY door
I only pay the minimum
So I reap the premium

Ok, back to work, or
You'll be off to the Projects
With all the other rejects

That's the way it is now
And always will be

You thought this Dream was for ALL
No. You stoopid? It's ALL for ME!!'

the wealthiest 1% of americans own over 40% of all private wealth. that's more than the entire lowest 92% of people put together. and the figure is nearly double from 20 years ago. the american dream is just that - a dream. you are working for the rich.

Sadly Americans are looking like they are going to be going down in history as the race that ate the planet.
