Spork and Trendy

Lemme tell ya bout this little man, Fork.
He was wispy and thin and hailed from New York.

He’s in love with this old gal named Spoon,
Who works in the local saloon.

He dances all day and swings through the night,
Cause to see her provides him such delight.

There’s a problem you see- why it never can be,
Their love is forbidden by the Utensil Decree.

Only like persons can marry and mate,
And to break the law will sure seal your fate.

And so they ran off to the moon,
Old Fork and his sweetie Spoon.

The moon made of cheese was confused,
“Here all good utensils are used.”

Sometimes I am melted and a Spoon is my mate,
And sometimes I get chopped by my good friend Grate.

Here we won't turn you away,
So stay and go to my great cheese buffet.

Cause if you should marry and mate,
Then behold the utensil you can create.

Wouldn’t it be so grand?
A utensil in such great demand.

For no matter how we were serving the cheese,
It could be used with such simple ease.

So Spoon and her Fork met with the stork,
Who brought them a baby they aptly named Spork.
