My Family

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Friday, 11th February 2005 @ 11:08:28 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

Tie dye, patchwork clothes
Nag Champa scents the air
Indulging in earths' natural gifts
Brothers and sisters everywhere

Peaceful gatherings
Musical shows
Hippies in heaven
Dont ya know!

Muddy bare feet
Dancing so happily
Skirts twirling around
Freedom on this...
Happy Hippie ground

No judgements
No anger
Just smiles, hugs and
kind words of love
Family of folks
living the life some...
can only dream of

This poem reminds me of days in Northern California
Circa 1970. It's sweet.

A fun and uplifting read, a real tribute to your family and heritage. Takes me back to some of my own memories. What a blessing to have such memories to cherish.

Fun write, my friend
