Breakdown

Topic: SadPoetry

It feels like a dagger in my leg,
And I'm still torn, paying toll in my head.

It slowly creeps back into my mind,
And I'm tempted to leave it all behind.

I can't stand having to hide it all,
The scars reopen and I start to fall.

There's got to be just a little relief,
I have to end all of the disbelief.

I'm not really what I seem to let on,
All my hope is somehow gone.

I'm sick of all the bull*****,
It "didn't bother me" but now I'm quitting.

It's full of lies so it is dead,
Don't want to hear anything said.

I'll go through with it when the time is right,
And everyone is out of sight.

Don't want delays to slow me down,
Don't wanna be caught when I fall to the ground.

Make the air go away and let the blood flow,
I'll make my death real painful and slow.

My head is spinning and on the phone you say "Please,--"
but I cut you short , got pain to ease.

I bet you had no idea what this was about when I began,
It's about how I lied to myself, and from my lies I ran.

In my mind I imagined the different ways I could die,
I'd go through with a thought and in the end I'd just cry.

Be torn inside and out about what I should do,
And get even more torn when I'd think of you.

My confession, short and sweet,
"I broke the promise, one day we'll meet."
