You Died Today

Contributed by UnlovedChild on Friday, 11th February 2005 @ 02:06:44 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

You died today
I did not know
Until later in the day
I went in my room and shut the door
But I just couldn't seem to cry
Of course I'm happy that you no longer have to suffer
It is just so hard to say goodbye even though you are still alive in my heart

Late that night I started crying
Thinking of how hard it is going to be
To see everyone sad and in tears
All for you
One with a soul so sweet and precious
There needs to be more like you
I will look back on memories as good times
And never forget the smile on your face
Just watch over me and I'll pray to you
Because I'll always love you
So goodbye to you
Keep smiling up in heaven
