EVERYTHING'S CHANGING

Lost in a world that revolves too quickly
I see the pain in the eyes of those opportunity passed by
Too quickly have all things come and gone
Too quickly have all the children grown
Simplicity has left us dry
Complication has integrated into our lives
Time won’t stop for one fleeting moment, so
That we may find the good things in life
And leave the bad
This may be the end of everything
The end of time
The end of our lives
This could leave us high and dry
In a world spinning too fast for us to see
What we could better be
The trees grow red from yellow and orange
Rainbows fade and dissipate with dreams
Empty void, stop filling our hearts and
Taking our innocence and
Leaving us dead
Advancements stop for just this once
So we may find our once clutched joy
And celebrate our youth and rise
Rise to find what we once had
But all is lost and left for dust
In the sands of time are all of us
