A wax candle and a wax candle
Both unaware.
Glowing,
Wind and rain
And floods and wind and rain,
And rain.
Flames flickering fighting failing,
Loss, wax droplets.
Darkness, smoke rising, deepening darkness.
Mere chance, fate.
Awareness.
Hope, a spark
A slowly flickering trembling flame.
And then two flames.
Brighter, growing
Feeding from the other.
Suddenly impervious
Brighter, growing.
Feeding.
Finally light and sense.
Droplets melted away,
Ever brighter.
Two wax candles, two flames,
One light.

Great job! I love your imagery. and the alliteration and repetition, both old ornaments usually forgotten nowadays. Keep it up!
