Rebirth of Love
Still was the bay and blue the sky
On that hot summer day we said goodbye
It was an agreement we both knew well
Our romance was over, no wedding bells
But today is the beginning of Spring
What a pleasant sight, a joyous thing
And as I stand on this rocky shore
I long to see you, just once more
The bay is still as it was that day
And the sky is blue though my heart is grey
The memories flood back as I stand alone
I called you once, but you were gone
So here I am with the sky above
Longing for you, the one I love
The wind picks up as I wipe my hair
And turn to see you standing there
You look at me and call my name
I walk to you, as in a dream
The warmth when we touch, shows love is there
As sure as the Spring that s in the air.
Together we leave under a sky of blue
They say Spring's for lovers, I think it s true.
