Who is this person looking back at me
With sleepy grey hair
Where soft brown used to be
And who's eyes are those
Though still brillent blue
Not seeing as clearly as they used to do
And what are those little lines I see right there
Around my eyes, on my forehead, my chin, everywhere
And who moved this mirror, it's placement's not right
I swear to you, honestly, I was taller last night
I'm a little bit worried, who this stranger might be...
Oh wiat,
how silly,
It's really just me!

GREAT poem - very "Where the sidewalk ends" - only for adults. I hear you - relate - AND had to laugh. Thanks so much! We should all look in the mirror with such humor! |
