Suffocated from Breathing

Topic: DarkPoetry

Suffocated from Breathing

You see the bubbles
Rise to the surface
Filled with carbon monoxide
As poison takes life

I believed all the fables
That I had a purpose
To fulfill before I die
But I was a failure every time

I was so used to labels
That I couldn't erase
Since truth isn't in lies
To be seen with eyes

But the bubbles
Are the last trace
Of ever living this life
Because all of the whys

Suffocated without purpose

I guess I'm still believing the lies - trying to find out my reason for being here. Anyway, I like the way you expressed the emotion of slowly getting your airways drowned. Short bit *very* to the point. Powerful write, as usual. Blessings.

Dark, powerful write. Gasping for air as I read it.
