Invidia
"The flower which is single need not envy the thorns that are numerous." -Sparky Rabindranath Tagore
One sin of three: "perverted love"
tainted green through and through
cursing and hating every God above
wanting everything possesed in you
into the dirt I ache to shove
your happiness, and bid adieu
to that smile fitting as a glove
on a pretty face so true.
my heart is eaten out of
happiness and virtue
Sew my eyes shut so I cannot see
what I know I deserve
why can it not be me?
My envy I shall never lose
my mind is twisted with jelousy
instead God chose to abuse
and curse me with inadequacy
My punishment?
freezing water may await
but no lesson learned
forever the fortunate will I hate
Envy...

mmmm wonderful poem there dear. For
some reason the last line, "forever the
fortunate will I hate", really stood out to me
you captured the spirit of envy wonderfully
there. I find it interesting that you are writing
about the 7 deadly sins since i thought only
Christians believed in them, but then again
maybe you are a Christian *shrugs*. Once
again a wonderful poem filled with
wonderfullness or something like that.

I don't know what to say, I really think this is the best of the three so far.
This is also my sin. My major problem is jealousy, though I don't think I'm quite like this. lol.
Brilliant write, you have hit the nail on the head with this one.
