Laying in the dark, not sleeping, musing
Been awake for hours, thoughts too confusing
The line between patience and foolish is so very thin
Which side is right, which choice means I’ll win
Laying in the dark, listening to the clock tick, tick, tick
Too hard to make decisions when emotions are this thick
The line between patience and foolish is so very small
Will it get larger, wider, bigger if all I do is stall
Laying in the dark, body filled with desire
Wondering what to do, how to quench this fire
The line between patience and foolish is so very little
Which way to turn, what’s right, when I feel so brittle
Laying the in dark, my heart so full of feeling
Needing, wanting to share, have to start the healing
The line between patience and foolish is so very fixed
How can I move forward with emotions so mixed?

Great write. I often feel like this too. Like the thoughts of life and the day are just overtaking me and I can't seem to sleep for the night. Anyway, good job. |

I like this... It really made me think about my own relationship, about how much I really care for him, and if he cares about me at all... I think you kept the theme flowing and there is nothing to challenge the story. It flowed very well, and it was an easy read. I was upset when it was over... I was expecting a final stanza about the result. It makes me wonder, and I like poems like that. Keep it up!!! |
