My Heart vs. My Head

When we row my heart does not live,
It yearns for you to find it to forgive,
Forgive the hurtful words that I say,
Try to move onto each brand new day.
My heart loves but it also can hate,
Throw up the barriers slam shut the gate,
My heart will bleed as it exists,
As the hurt goes on & persists.
Stubbornness lies inside my very core,
In my opinion this is my worst flaw,
Heart & head locked in a row,
Head will not let what heart will allow.
If only my heart could take the reins,
Then we would both have so much to gain,
But head seems to be the more worthy contender,
Throwing my heart into an on-going December.
Head vs. heart but who will win?
I’d say listening to my head is my biggest sin,
Pride comes before all my falls,
Down will come love, compassion & all.

| Oh Pix, this is so good and descriptive of inner arguments that go on. So many of us trying to sort things out, becausse life (and love) is much more complicated than it used to be. Anyway, you've done a poem that's easy to relate to. Blessings. |

| Damn you and I could have alot to talk about with this..When your heart and head agree as one. Then you know what is right..Or perhaps the heart is where our ears tune..For our head speaks to much logic..And is love really logic at all.. |

Inner battles and struggles of mind and heart always make a good topic to write about. I doubt we'll ever really be able to completely understand either. I like this one too Pixie.
