If you could understand,
then you would know,
inside of me theres a little girl,
with skinned knees,
and salty tears.
On the outside,
there is a vision,
of the little girl grown up,
but no skinned knees,
or salty tears,
instead,
broken dreams,
and a blank stare.
The little girl inside,
cries out with pain,
but the girl on the outside,
a loner.
If you look deep,
into her eyes,
you will see,
the inside of my unhappieness,
that no one understands.
