I hardly know you
You’re only but an acquaintance
And for only a few short moments we converse
Yet within those moments
You’ve made me laugh
You’ve made me cry
Twisting my emotions
And entangling them in my mind
I can no longer understand what I feel
But I know that what you’ve left in me
Is more than what I’ve felt before
And when I try to push it out
It just won’t leave
Even as months pass by
Still this feeling won’t diminish
As much as I try to let you go I can’t
Until I am broken inside
And the pain you’ve caused me becomes more than I can bear
And finally I let you slip away
Letting go of what I once held so dear

What a fabulous first post, Somario. I like this a lot. It tugs at me... and reminds me - just how powerful a moment can be. *sigh*

Nicely done!

Great poem. Most moment people try to forget... they erase bad memories from their mind... if you know what I mean. This poem would bring them back, which reflects how great it is...
