I cast my nets over the water of thy lips.
Over the water of thy lips
I cast my nets
And they are set free.
I spill the moon in my sleep
In my sleep I spill the moon.
The moon is paled in thy presence.
In thy presence the moon is paled
and I sleep.
I catch the night in my hair
In my hair I catch the night
The night is the brightest star
cast away by thy light.
I take thy love.
Thy love I take
across thy fingers seam,
thy slender fingers
stitch and seam.
Thy love I take
Against the fire of thy breast
Thy breast against the fire
of the sea
I take thy love
and the sea is lost
beneath thy love.
