Pour out the soothing water,
Calm the fires in my mind,
Which roar and burn away each moment
With a racing hunger --
Blind to to all humanity within me.
Shall I simply now succumb?
Though it's painful and it's blissful,
And its power leaves me --
Numb and growing older by the second.
My mind tears ahead alone.
And the child cries out to slow it,
But its will has long since --
Thrown itself upon the tainted mercy,
Of the savage hunt for light.
Trampling, crushing; desparation,
The one treasure of ---
The night.

This is very well-expressed. I'd try to help with a title, but choosing one is often my own hardest part of writing a poem. Keep this up, though, and may you find the Light.
