OUTSIDE THE SNOW BEGINS TO FALL,
AND WHEN IT WILL STOP IS HARD TO TELL.
THE WINTER WINDS HAVE BLOWN OUR WAY,
AND IT SEEMS COLDER WITH EACH NEW DAY.
INSIDE THE WARMTH FROM THE FIREPLACE GLOW,
IS ENOUGH TO MELT THE NEW FALLEN SNOW.
BUT A CHILL IN MY HEART STILL LIES SO TRUE,
EACH TIME I THINK ABOUT CHRISTMAS WITHOUT YOU.
NO AMOUNT OF SPARKLING LIGHTS OR DECORATED TREES,
CAN TAKE AWAY THESES ACHING NEEDS.
TO HAVE YOU NEAR AT THIS SPECIAL TIME,
IT’S ALWAYS THE FIRST THING ON MY MIND.
I DON’T WANT TO BE BLUE AT THIS TIME OF YEAR,
BUT YOUR MEMORY ALWAYS BRINGS A TEAR.
CHRISTMAS WAS ALWAYS YOUR FAVORITE SEASON,
AND NOW IT’S MINE FOR VERY SAME REASON.
BUT I WOULD GLADLY PART WITH EVERYTHING ANEW,
JUST TO HAVE THIS CHRISTMAS WITH YOU.
