Was time ever so beautiful that
You could watch it dance
Faceless people pirouetteing on a stage
And death in the cages
Dust catching translucent light
Behind the trees
The wind whispers of my mothers stories
Of rose petals and desperate pleas
And when you said you'd kill me
You were all dressed up in lace
With the darkest make-up on your face
We danced all the way to the ballroom
And my wondering hands reached the ties of your corset
Pulling the strings, I found what I was looking for
You brass encased death threats
So you slit my throat instead
I choked a muffled ""
You reached down your back and loaded your revolver with a single bullet
Kneeling down and stroking my blood-soaked hair
You whispered in my ear "I still love you"
And a single tear cut through the blood on my face
When you put the barrel to my temple
