Mira, mirror...
Gaze upon the Hispanic beauty that stands before you...
Liquid amber eyes,
Sweet caramel skin,
Long dark tresses,
Curves in all the right places...
Mira, mirror...
Turn your jealous eyes,
And marvel on my splendor...
See how the roses whiten as I pass by?
See how I shine?
The beauty within is the most glamorous of all...
Mira, mirror...
I am not like the others,
Who want to be a clone of the Perfect American Image...
I am natural,
Loving this image that smiles back at me...
So, mira mirror...
Take a good hard look,
At the elegant rose that is staring back....

"See how the roses whiten as I pass by?"
This burns my mind in its clarity.
FleurdeSang, thanks for writing this. |

I do not believe the mirror needs to be convinced, as it has seen you all along. But the image in the mirror needs to be as equally forcefull in reminding you ... of these words, these phrases, this attitude, this feeling and your beauty. And you should never be alowed to doubt or forget again.
