Over My Dead Body

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 7th February 2005 @ 12:29:27 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Over my dead body you will laugh,
In my dead soul you’ll take a sweet bath,
Never a tear will fall from your eyes,
You will happily wait & watch as I die.

After my stench has lay inside your nose,
You will sure celebrate by laying a black rose,
Next to the grave where my flesh slowly rots,
As the memory of our loves is simply forgot.

I am even now to you dead as I breathe,
From my dear heart I can feel the love leave,
Blackened by hurt, maimed by despair,
All I ever wanted was for you to just care.

My body lays still not knowing any motion,
As if it’s been drugged with the devils dark potion,
You & the devil are entwined you are one,
& in my sheer suffering you both find your fun.

My body & soul are participants in your game,
But never on you lays any of the blame,
The game keeper will end up with my soul,
& always to him I’ll be the one paying the toll.

My life to you is all but nothing,
You are the turkey & I am the stuffing,
I am so worthless so insignificant,
& in my demise your money’s well spent.

I agree with afterdark's comment. The
rhyming in this poem was impeccable and, to
put it quite bluntly I loved this. *Buys her a
drink and gives a toast to her great poem*
