I'm lost in an illusion
of the love we had.
A love that couldn't stay.
My soul only knows sadness and seclusion
since you have gone away.
When I sleep
you're in my dreams.
I see your angelic face.
But when I wake I open my eyes
only to find an empty space.
You're not here
but you're in my heart,
and my thoughts are comsumed of you.
I cherish the love that once was:
so beautiful, so sweet, so true.
How cruel of the world
to take you from me!!!
Now each day gives me pain.
Because there is no more sunshine in my life,
only memories in the rain.
