Have pity on me
I am young
And I'm kinda new to this poetry game
And I am not as wise as those whose poetry name
Is inscribed in writing history
I'm young so have pity on me
I know sometimes my words might not flow freely
When it comes to your mind
But in mine, my rhymes are always on time
Sometimes when I write my thoughts are perplexed
I just don't know
What to write next
But God has equipped me with the right apparatus to write
My little red book and a pen
The vocabulary words adjacent to the verbs
That make my poetry move, and begin
I might be new, but I plan not to lose at a poetry slam
But just in case I do
I'ma send my apparation back into the tomb
Where I meditate
And debate on the rhymes I'm meant to make
And ameliorating the ones I've already written
And when I do win I'm gonna celebrate
Not because I won
but because of the cerebrations that apparently sorrounded me on stage
I'm young so have pity on me
But I will defensentrate the thought of doubt
That doubt of the route I will take
The route in which I will decide my own fate
You can comment good or bad and I don't mind if you castigate
As long as you let me criticize your rhymes and your words
And let me elaborate on what I meant to say
I'm young so have pity on me
I'm not as wise as the ones who came before me
But I am wise
I redundantly incorporate the crimes of everyday life in my rhymes
And if you scrutinize too closely you might overlook the meaning that is stated
And after I write something I won't stop until I'm complacent with what is written
And that doesn't happen unless I'm bitten with the bug
Of innermost inspirations
And of the greatest benedictions
I am young and eccentric
And when these thingsare combined
With the ability to write
The outcome is only one of a kind
So if you want to take a minute to step into my mind
You would be surprised in the things you might find
The interstices betweent the dark and the light
Between peace and fights
And the sharp debri that is spread within my head
From a past life
I'm young so have pity on me
I know that I have many lessons to learn
So much time to burn
But know that it's now my turn
To have my 15 minutes of spotlight
And show the world a new light
From the sight of these young eye
So have pity on me
And just let me speak
