Coven (13 incantations)

Contributed by Xnoybis on Monday, 7th February 2005 @ 01:59:35 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I - Eye for an eye
And tooth for a tooth
Let thee be withered
Robbed of thy youth

II - Shadow of darkness
Abscence of light
Let thee be robbed
Of thy body and might

III - Crook of the branch
And wing of the crow
May your days be dismal
And your suffering grow

IV - The pot and the kettle
The concoctions and stew
May your breath be taken
Face strained and blue

V - Leg of the toad
And wing of the bat
May you drop dead tomorrow
Your body laid flat

VI - Spider web visions
And vials of venom
May your mind break
On this twisted schism

VII - Take to the sky
A ride on a broom
Paint the sky black
With misery and doom

VIII - Lycanthropy, onward!
Into the night
Reap the seeds planted
Of terror and fright

IX - Birth of the Golem
Brutal and silent
Set forth to crush
The weak and defiant

X - A roll of the bones
The visions they hold
Show a bleak future
Desolation and cold

XI - Path of a black cat
And eye of a newt
Let this be Final
Dispel all repute

XII - Forked finger sigil
The mark of the beast
Let thee be damned
And shunned by the priest

XIII - 13 black candles
Each a shadow on soul
May you be bound to this curse
And pay every toll

Deep? Really? I thought it was pretty light hearted myself. The word coven popped into my head, and wouldn't let go..so I knew I had to write something in that vein to silence it. I started disecting the word, and this was born.

How was it deep to you? I'd be curious to hear. Interpretation is at least half the art. Thanks for the comment, cheers!
