Grief

Years ago, I saw her
Yesterday, she was a faded blur
Today, she came back
In sharp and brutal focus
He held out his hand for her
As she drifted between two spaces
And he guided her
To the place she had to go to
The cruel fate that kept her
Couldn't hold her anymore
She strolled with this man
Then he let her wander again
One day, he will visit me
And when he comes for me
I hope to see her
I'm glad I greeted her
And watched her
Bathe in brand new light
Before she faded away
One last time
