Animals in me

Contributed by in2thetwilightzone2 on Sunday, 6th February 2005 @ 06:17:17 AM in AEST
Topic: mystical

am i hillusinating?
or is that cat shaking his tail at me?
he turns his yellow eyes to mine,
then beckons flirtatiously,
then he says

"hey sweetheart, tell me what do you see?
i am shapeshifter,
everyone sees me diferently"
i shake my head in a daze,
this surely can not be,
is this body real?
or am i going crazy!?

sudenly he pounces towards me,
his face lightens up and his whiskers peir,
his ears stand up in pride,
and says "no worries girl, there are only friends here"

and then with a flick of his feline wrist,
eyes come clearer from the bushes,
pronounced through the mist,
then a herd of magical animals aproach me,
but yet i am no longer gripped with fear,
he just repeats himself
"like i said, we are only friends here"

suddenly the animals appear,
they look at me in adoration,
then start to cheer,
"we are your inspiration,
shapeshifters in your mind,
each image of us has a different meaning,
we reveal at different times"
slowly i come to reality,
these are my key,
hese images i am seeing,
they are all a part of me...

Different.

Reminds me a bit of a poem I wrote based on five animals that a dojo I studied at used as thier symbols.

NOTE: The style of the dojo was not what is called the "Five Animal" style.
