Greeted by an Angel!

Contributed by LOWMAN613 on Tuesday, 10th December 2002 @ 12:15:00 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

I was greeted by an angel today,
she didnt give me her name,
I listened to what she had to say,
and others should do the same,
She didnt have wings, that I could see
but a glow in her beautiful hair,
It was what she told me,
that made me think an angel was there,
I was crying, thinking life let me down,
as a stranger came to me,
alot of people were around,
but I was the only one who could see,
she touched my arm,and bent down low,
saying tomorrow will be a better day,
happiness comes inside you,you know,
listen to what I say,
right now today might seem bad,,
but your tears will soon dry,
remember the good that you have,
that will help get you by,
so don't weep in sorrow,
remember what I said,
theres joy for you tomorrow,
think of that instead,
as I wiped away my tear,
I felt a warm glow,
I noticed she had disappeared,
where did she go?
I asked people who were near,
did you see that lady with me?
they looked at me in fear,
and said there was no one we could see,
just sitting there thinking about everything,
I knew what was wrong,
my angel with out a single wing,
touched me and was gone,
we all have angels that have passed us by,
but we don't really know,
they come in human form, thats why,
their wings will never show,
so be kind to everyone you will meet,
for there might be an angel in the crowd,
they'll come up to you on the street,
no need to call them out load,
for mine just looked like you and me,
but she touched me in some way,
the angel I could only see,
who helped wipe my tears away.
