An Unforgetable Journey

Contributed by Valerie_Pearson on Tuesday, 10th December 2002 @ 12:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

The gentle touch of my heavenly angel,
a beautified sight,
Her face .... pure beauty,
love of heaven glorified,
She held my hands,
as I entered the light of heaven,
she spoke softly with tenderness,
sweetened by her tone,
her voice was calming,
we talked awhile,
I was young .... to young,
my job was unfinished,
but I was not afraid,
I entered the tunnel of new life,
no pain, no sorrow, only beauty,
but yet I could see,
past the tunnel of eternity,
I understood it was my body,
that lie on the table,
My spirit had left, if only for a brief time,
I will never forget,
the beauty of heaven's angel,
I did not want to return,
but I was also not ready to go,
For it was God, who planned my journey,
and showed me the beauty of tomorrow,
The angel then spoke again, "they're bringing her back, I must go, but I shall see you again",
she gradually let go of my hand,
my spirit returned to my earthly body,
it was hard to leave the beautiful sight behind,
For I was chosen, at that very moment,
to witness the love of God,
the awesome power, of magnified grace,
The promise of life-after,
I shall never question,
it was the beauty of an angel who carried me,
her tenderness, her beauty, her hand, her sight, purity at its best,
given to me at such a young age,
Never ..... shall I forget the love God holds for us, it was my journey, my life, his will,
that I am here, he has plans for me,
I shall gracefully return to honor him,
when I am called,
but until then, I must fulfill his dream, and help others follow his path,
I may be one of the chosen few,
to carry his message of divine love,
I leave my future in his hands,
for it is I, who is guided by a heavenly angel,
who once embraced me, and now walks with me daily,
Through all of my struggles,
she carries me, she reaches out to me,
with unconditional love,
At times .... I see her face,
she speaks to me, and embraces me with her love, she helps me to guide others,
she is my guide, she lives within my soul,
I touch hands of the dying ....and they feel her,
She is my harmony,
her wisdom, and patience are that of unity,
that will one day bring me back to eternal love,
She is today's song, together we walk,
She is the pleasant moment, I will never forget,
My angel of heavenly light,
for which I have seen,
A treasure of purity from the unseen world,
My angel, my guide, my life,
Heaven!

Wow-this is really incredible. I got chills reading it-I have been going through some very difficult situations in my life recently that have caused me to question if God really exists or not-but reading a poem like yours that you say is true-gives me hope. Thanks for writing. XXOO ~Jess

valerie..... although, as you know, I have very different views about religions than you posses, it does not mean I cannot see beauty in other souls like yours.
If only everyone were like you.........but alas they are not........nevertheless it is a lovely work thank you for showing us your beauty.
