my heart it used to belong to me
but along came this day
because nothing can ever just be
life just doesn't work that way
there came this someone
that swept my heart away
so subtle and swift that i did not know
and that's when it starts
the seed planted begins to grow
then before i knew it
a passion like fire did ignite
try as i might this fire i could not fight
my dreams, my thoughts, my every moment
i keep trying to fulfill, to feed
that burning love deep inside of me
a screaming desire, raging to get out
i want to let her know
just open up my throat and let lose a shout
i cannot say how it began nor how it will end
i only know this for sure
someone has taken residence were once was my heart
so i sit there alone
and silently i sigh
tracing the corner of your lips
with the wind as my canvas
i paint your face with my fingertips
a single tear rolls down my cheek
i silently ask why is it that you stay?
locked away in my chest
ohh i hope you will return this love one day.....

Isn't it awful? That's exactly what it is like---the most incredible and most horrible thing at the same time. And you are trapped, of course, unable to sway your own heart no matter how you try...control is a word only longed for. Ugh, I have been there and glad I'm done with it. I feel for you.
