Echos and Loss

Contributed by CodyJ on Friday, 4th February 2005 @ 10:08:48 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Scars on her wrist
allude to a trist
with a razor blade
that bade
her hello
slice through yellow,
finding red,
leaving her, dead.

In the tub,
rub a dub dub,
Johnny lost his breath,
went glub, glub, glub,
lost the air inside his head,
deflated, drowned,
he wound up dead.

Off their feet,
a body's complete
hanging from the rafters
nothing really matters,
a face pale and blue,
what's this world coming to
when what a person said,
could make you become,
good and dead.

Ignoring tears they're crying,
pretend to care, you're lying,
so they die anyways
full of things they forgot to say
that you hear every night in your bed
from those souls,
that end up dead.

Suicide poetry.

I had to delete some swearwords there, since i'm responsible for my own words in here.

I don't usually read it, but then I didn't check the category listing here . . . and thought this was stark and strong enough to lay a comment upon it. What am I saying, then? I like it? No . . . I guess i'm saying that this is effective, and well-expressed . . .

Without more words to say, I am

NF
