Spit It Out

Contributed by lilschizoboy07 on Friday, 4th February 2005 @ 07:48:37 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I've got things I wanna say
and I might not finish today
but since I may not see tomorrow
I'll get started anyway.
Mad love for the woman
I never could resist her summon
but she's goin' when I'm comin'
Ain't love somethin'?
Like how you fall for the same one as your friend
and it opens a gap between you that may never close again.
Like how I was no model boyfriend
and my girlfriend had another boyfried
in fact, I was the other man.
From square one we were in the gutter
but I had no other
in fact, she was my first "significant other'
and I loved her as much as my brother
but did I mention I woulda killed him if it weren't for my mother?
Yet somehow she got under
my skin
when we never should have been
How could I not realize that no one could win
There was not even attraction
but see I was not the victim
I flirted behind her back when she was with him
and was still loveless in the end
but what stuck the knife in
was that I was sold out by my own friend
Because I didn't know she was in
But enough about that
How 'bout how I've fallen for ex-girlfriend's ex-best friend?
I just had to spit it out.

I'm glad someone cared, mate.
