Silver nights, Golden dawn

Contributed by Maxximus on Friday, 4th February 2005 @ 05:37:29 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

It began a faint star, something precious in the distance
A light by which my nights evermore were captured
I slept with waking thought
Dreamt in daylight reverence
And held pure the voice which brought stillness
To my world

From the beginning so long ago

Never a flicker
Never a hesitation
Never a doubt rung in my mind
Even as words were held
On the tip of a sword

Where golden demons razed
My platinum angel would rise
Sunder the world and all it’s misgivings
To bring life where only death might linger

It was the life that ran through me once again
Strength to my body
Force to my mind
Iron to a will once corroded
Now blazing as the dawn she did herald
A dawn we could now embrace in unity

She was the flood of inspiration
The hope when the well of my soul had run dry

Where golden demons razed

That was good stuff,
it was phrased really well.

Eloquent and inspiring words. Well done! I much enjoyed the theme as well.
