A Child’s Energy
~~~~
You run circles around me
You have energy
That I could only wish you have.
Wish I could bottle it up
And place it on a shelve
And use it when I need a dab.
How great it would be
To never become tired
To never get worn out.
To have energy to burn
Would make me want to
Scream and shout.
So you see dear son
I envy what you have
Energy to spare.
For your dear old dad
Would you have it in your heart
To share?
