How could you do this
just turn your back on me
you said you’d always be there
when I needed you to be
well I need you now
but you’re nowhere in sight
my heart is ripping into two
but don’t worry I’ll be alright
I thought that I could trust you
to be a solid stone
but when I start to need you most
it seems you’re always gone
My world crumbles a little more
with every teardrop shed
and every morning that I wake up
I don’t want to get out of bed
We used to be the best of friends
but I can see our bond begin to fade
I’ll never forget the way I laughed
at the stupid jokes you made
I’ll remember all the good times we shared
and I’ll pray that we have more
but I hope you understand, for now
I’m walking out the door
I just need a little time
to think all of this through
but I’m hoping that in a while
you’ll see how much I need you.
