Grief
|
As the furious light beckons me
My translucent body hovers
Amidst the sterile room
The slab of me, still; lunatic eyes
Blank lifeless stare
Grayish lips of sapphire parted
They see I am gone, yet they still fight
The monotone hum; flat line
Drawing its picture across the screen
Angelic peer pressured voices
Calling; fighting my will
Men with masks barking orders
Panic creeping from within
Vomiting from their words
The premature startle of death confuses
I am not ready to depart
This land of the whispering trees.
