Across the blank white page,
her writing is a blur,
her tears smear the ink,
this is hard for her.
His love for her is over,
he has chose another,
to make into his bride,
leaving her to smother.
But no, her love has not gone,
and so must she let him know,
this note holds her affection,
this paper white as snow.
The words wouldn't come,
she couldn't write them down,
her mind wouldn't let her,
that line kept going 'round.
Three words that meant a lot,
three words before, 'I do,'
a single thought of companionship,
she couldn't write them, 'I love you.'
