Alone in my Darkened Hovel

Contributed by bobotheclown on Monday, 9th December 2002 @ 06:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Alone in my darkened hovel,
I sit
Alone in my darkened hovel,
I weep
No sunlight can get through
The walls are too high, too thick

Alone in my darkened hovel,
I scream
Alone in my darkened hovel,
Door locked tight against all intruders
Holding the pain inside
As I grow weaker and malnourished

Alone in my darkened hovel,
Dirty and broken
Alone in my darkened hovel,
I lick my cracked lips
And plot evil, demented things
As my body breaks apart

Alone in my darkened hovel,
I slowly go insane
Alone in my darkened hovel,
I drink in your lies
The air is getting thicker
My pupils are dilated

Alone in my darkened hovel,
Where no one can relate
Alone in my darkened hovel,
Starved for some comfort
Destroying my intellect
Flipping around, like a fish out of water

Alone in my darkened hovel,
I realize no one can understand
Alone in my darkened hovel,
I'm alone in my darkened hovel...

Great write my friend! Most certainly can identify, although the forces that be have blessed me gently with happiness and light, I'm certain that darkened hovel awaits in patient eagerness:)

definitely groovy. i been to the darkened hovel and i can appreciate the fact that it's not a great place to be, unless you feed off of that sort of thing.
