I love her still.
It was better to cry those broken tears
Then to have suffered through our years
Still now it is you I want to hold
But to do so would be brazen and bold
We left on good terms no tears or pain
But to say that now would be in vane
I loved you with my heart
A new life I did want to start
You we caring and so sweet
I did grovel at your feet
We had to go our separate ways
After that my heart was in a haze
The reason why I do not know
But the need to now does show
What you wanted I would have done
But to and end our time together did run
I am sad but not broken
For having you was a token
You will be forever in my memories and my heart
As this soul try my new start.
“Can I speak to Dr. Capelin?”
Yes you are, he replies
“I don’t need help anymore.”

I love the first two lines! I mean the rest was good but my sight was clouded by the glory of the first two lines.
I don't think you had to put the "I do miss her though" in the A. C., I kind of got the impression by reading the poem.
Seriously, Josh, well done.
Take care.

An excellent piece. I like the emotion it conveyed. But... I don't understand the ending. I've puzzled over it for some time now, but I just don't see it.
Ah well. I'll force you to explain it later.
