I can finally sigh in peace
as fingers strum my ribs to
re-discovered tunes in soul's depths...
Each vibration rolls through my body
sending shivers
to the beat held by the heart's syncopation
Each pulse races between bodies
to gather in a pool of sweat...
Distorting my reflection in
time's lullaby
Lips caress my skin
Each subtle exhale becomes a melodic trumpet solo
especially for me
as if my personal band knew
just how to make my soul smile,
washing away worries
that once drowned me...
To make me feel special -
as i find the instruments i lost
and play
the whole score written on my palms
in blood...
Each whisper is like poetry to my ears
adding notes to my ballod
with each word....each syllable...
with each moment
i find solace
i falter...
as the music stops-
only wanting this symphony to endure
forever
