My mouth is hurting,
I don't know why,
I can't talk yet,
So I lay down and cry.
Then mommy comes in,
And she picks me right up,
But I've cried so much,
That I get the hiccups.
She pats my back,
Until they run,
But my mouth still hurts,
I wish it was done.
Then mommy is holding,
A very strange thing,
But one drop from it,
And my mouth doesn't sting.
So I relax in her arms,
I don't hurt anymore,
I drift off to sleep,
But what is a 'snore'?
