No Mr. Perfect or Miss Right*

Contributed by Glo on Tuesday, 1st February 2005 @ 06:56:38 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I was always told by the Elders,
From the time I was a little girl...
Not one of us is perfect or always right in this world.
Still some go in search of that perfect someone,
If it's Perfection you're looking for...
That person will never come.

Her Knight in Shining Armor,
His long awaited Miss Right...
Both can leave you searching, wondering, alone.
Most or all of your life.

Again I say to you, not one of us is Perfect,
We're not always Right...
So if she's holding out for Mr. Perfect,
And he's holding out for Miss Right
You'll find yourself alone many a long cold sleepless night.

Be accepting of Imperfections, as we all have...it's true.
Understanding, love, honesty, trust to help us through,
All of what I'm saying applies to those who...
Are still convinced he or she will come to you.

Please keep in mind while you're holding out for,
Perfection or the one that's always Right...
The Elders said it best, take their advice for what it's worth,
The only Perfect and always Right Person I know...
Is not of this Earth.

Understanding and Communication is the Key!
