The boy I dreamed of was out of reach
He layed in a grave six feet deep
From taking his life
And reripping old scars
He was trapped in a prison
And mentally locked down by bars.
He created his very own burning Hell
He was the only one who knew me so well
He helped my pain
Yet pushed his aside
I was running from life
And from life he couldn't hide.
I buried my secrets into his black heart
I knew that I loved him from the very start
If only I saw
The burden he had
I could have saved him
From feeling so sad.
One day I called upon him, found him in his room
Blood dripping from his wrists, his eyes pale blue
I took him in my arms
And we cried softly through the night
Yet little did I know
He had one battle left to fight.
Days soon passed and all seemed real
He smiled and laughed, said he could finally feel
But on a deep cold night
I heard a shot through the breeze
I knew it was him
He's soul floating to Heaven through the weeping willow trees.
I ran to his room, found him laying dead
A bullet to his head, which endlessly bled
He left a little note
Which said " I truly love you"
He said I made him feel free
Which was the best thing someone could do.
My tears still flow as I think of his bleeding black heart
And wonder what could have ripped and teared him apart
But I know he is now blissful
Eternally free
Looking and watching
And praying over me.
