I think us meeting must have been fate,
you've helped me set my life back straight.
You led me back from darkness to light,
helped me put my demons to flight.
They're sealed in a box with locks and chains
not a hint of them remains.
You are the one that lights my way,
You are the joy in my day.
Your voice and laughter are music to my ears
I hope we're friends for many years.
I didnt realise I needed you so,
till I tried to let you go
but although you mean the world to me
some things will never be.
No endearing conversations, no walks in the rain
but I'll be here to ease lifes pains.
No time together snuggled by the fire,
but when your sad, your spirits I'll lift higher.
No nights filled with passion and desire,
but to your dreams I'll help aspire.
So let us stand hand in hand
and face together all lifes plans
As well as all these things I freely give,
My heart, My soul, My love.
